The sport

What is the SUP – Stand Up Paddle?

SUP (Stand Up Paddle) is stand-up paddleboarding — one of the most accessible and fastest-growing water sports in the world. The athlete stands upright on a large, stable board and moves using a paddle.

Training starts in calm waters, learning balance and basic paddling technique, and progresses to speed technique, turns and handling waves and wind. The group has room both for recreation and fitness and for competitive preparation.

The experience is unique: gentle yet complete full-body exercise, calm and direct contact with the sea — which is why SUP is loved equally by children, teenagers and adults.

At NOAS, SUP complements the Club's water sports programme and gives the whole family the chance to exercise in the sea of Artemida — from a first introduction to competing in races.

Coach SUP – Stand Up Paddle

Κορυφαίες διακρίσεις: • 3η θέση και χάλκινο μετάλλιο στο Long Distance Open Men του 2026 Paddle Europe Stand Up Paddling Championships, στον Άγιο Νικόλαο Κρήτης, με χρόνο 1:19:59.724.
