Sailing is not just a sport — it's a way of life that brings families together. Here's why it's worth experiencing up close.
Picture a weekend at Limeniskos Artemidas (Artemida small harbour): the sun, the smell of the shore, children running around the boats, parents lending a hand, coaches smiling. Somewhere in there, among knots and sails, the most beautiful family memories are born.
Sailing offers families:
• Common ground — parents and children share the same experience • Contact with nature — away from screens and sofas • Community — sponsors, parents, athletes, coaches, one big group • Values — discipline, hard work, courtesy, respect • Joy — the smile of a child who caught the wind for the first time is priceless
Many NOAS Sailing Club families started with one child in the Optimist department, and now the whole family are members. Some parents learned to sail alongside their children. Some grandmothers became the most devoted spectators at the races.
The sea has room for everyone. Come and experience it with us.
