Your coach, your friend: How we teach children

The NOAS coaches are not just athletes — they are educators, mentors, and friends. Get to know our philosophy. A good sailing coach does not just teach knots and turns. They teach life. They teach how to think under pressure, how to make decisions, and how to respect yourself and others. At NOAS, our coaches follow four basic principles: 1. Every child is unique — we do not compare, we do not push, we listen. 2. Safety first — no medal is worth an injury. 3. The joy of effort — victory is a natural consequence of the right work. 4. Respect for the sea — you do not conquer it, you learn to coexist. Our coaches are the first to arrive in the morning and the last to leave in the evening. They are the ones who will dry your tears after a bad race and celebrate with you after a victory. They are the ones who will see in your child what you may not have seen yet. "We do not build athletes," says our coach Stelios. "We build people who know how to stand on their own two feet." This is our promise to every child who comes to NOAS.
